HISTORY

TECNOLOGY

Waliors S.A. produce its wines in the Orfila Family winery near the town of Junín, Mendoza, with a capacity of 8 million liters.

Society launched jointly with Cepajes S.A. in the year 1998 from the spin-off of Bodegas y Viñedos Jose Orfila Ltda. where, two of it’s  partners, grandchildren’s of the founder of that firm in 1915, took over the vineyards that have always formed the basis of his famous wines.

In 1818, José de San Martin bought a property in Mendoza with the intention to build a flour mill. Later, San Martín sold the land to Corvalán family and fifty-eight years later, a 23 year old Spanish inmigrant, José Orfila, bought this property, convinced that it was not in the flour but in the wine the future of Mendoza.

He progressed rapidly: in 1915 he had already raised his winery. At the same time, the company had activities in Argentina Phone (CAT) and the power company Luz y Fuerza.

During the 90's the company ceases to bottle wines to dump all their efforts and expertise to the elaboration of young and fruity wines which are commercialized in bulk, with in order to provide an excellent product.
