In 1818, José de San Martin bought a property in Mendoza with the intention to build a flour mill. Later, San Martín sold the land to Corvalán family and fifty-eight years later, a 23 year old Spanish inmigrant, José Orfila, bought this property, convinced that it was not in the flour but in the wine the future of Mendoza.

 

He progressed rapidly: in 1915 he had already raised his winery. At the same time, the company had activities in Argentina Phone (CAT) and the power company Luz y Fuerza.

 

During the 90's the company ceases to bottle wines to dump all their efforts and expertise to the elaboration of young and fruity wines which are commercialized in bulk, with in order to provide an excellent product.

 

 equipped with 1,930,000 liters in tanks stainless steel “Boccard” and "Tersainox" with double jacket for the elaboration of white and red wine, a lagar "Vaslin Bucher" stainless steel with pneumatic valve opening, two destemmers and crushers "Vaslin Bucher" models E2 and E4, 6 harvest cooler "Della Toffola”, two cooling equipments "Della Toffola" of 280,000 freezing each, and a Carrier of 100,000 freezing,  two pneumatic presses "Willmes" of 20 Ton., and a pneumatic presses "Pera" of 50 Ton., an Italian Thermo flash trademark "Velo" of 10 Ton/h, a decanter “Pieralisi” of 15 Ton/h,  a centrifugal "Westfalia" of 25.000 liters/h, a vacuum filter “Cadalpe” of 15 meters, a microoxigen equipment AEB, 170 concrete fermentation vessels coated with epoxy resin with caps and valves in stainless steel and cold exchanger, mostly minors to 14,000 liters of capacity which helps maintain complete traceability of wine and at the same time be able to separate and maintain, a wide range for cuts during the year.
